Standing Up for the Little Guy

Ed was the little guy when he ran his first business in the '70s and early '80s, called "Flower Children," a business where his employees sold fresh-cut flowers on street corners across America. Then he got bigger. He started getting his flowers straight from various farms and hot houses, no middlemen required. His competitors didn’t like this. They did their best to run him out of town.

This was just the beginning of Magedson's lessons in running an entrepreneurial business. He has a warm spot in his heart for anyone who’s going up against heavily financed competition that too often does not play fair.
