Like Internet Whack-A-Mole, every time one of them gets caught, they anonymously start another website.
The Internet community is fighting back, as are courts AROUND THE WORLD, but more and more people are getting scammed every day. These criminals outright COPY AND STEAL reports directly from ripoffreport.com, and post them on their own websites. Some of them THEN contact the owners of companies mentioned and blackmail them into paying saying they’ll take DOWN ALL COMPLAINTS.
Reputations are important, right? We all want to be understood for who we are, what we’ve done and how we conduct ourselves. Companies and corporations are no different. They work very hard to protect their image and their product’s images. And they get lots of help from people like those at Reputation(dot)com and other reputation management companies. So, that’s a good thing, right?
NO, it’s not.
Look at it this way – one of the strongest arguments that our “haters” love to make is that we won’t remove reports even when a court has determined that the report is false. Because humans generally find it easier to believe simple explanations and simple arguments, this argument has really been widely accepted as showing that ROR’s business practices are “appalling” (to quote the Florida court...
