FOX NEWS LIES News stations, especially FOX, have a reputation for getting it wrong. While I don’t necessarily believe rumors Ripoff Report had an experience that didn’t exactly help dilute that negative reputation. In this instance FOX got it wrong! Ripoff Report advised FOX that the information presented about Ripoff Report during the Bill O’Reiley show was inaccurate. In fact, other FOX Reporters and producers from around the USA contacted me and apologized for the situation and apparently tried to contact folks at FOX to let them know that the information presented was completely false. Did FOX do anything about it? NO! What is sad is that Ripoff Report has assisted most of the FOX News stations with reliable victim information for an estimated 100 consumer news segments and other projects since FOX News stations came into existence over 10 years ago. Look at the thanks that we get for being helpful…providing false information about Ripoff Report without the wherewithal to correct inaccuracies after they were pointed out to FOX by many. And NO, FOX News did not call us to be a part of the show nor did FOX News call to FACT-CHECK like any reliable news organization should do. Some “legitimate” news source you are… Giving false information is reliable “news”? What a joke! Self-proclaimed consumer advocate Cassie Slane did not even try to fix the problem once she knew the information that she stated was incorrect. Heaven forbid she apologize for her shoddy research and remedy the false information by later provide accurate information. Must have been easier to simply hide behind FOX News than to do the right thing. Cassie, any producer who knows Ripoff Report knows that you lied. Any half-wit with internet access could have done research, right on the Ripoff Report website, to pull the accurate information. You could have even called us if you weren’t sure about what you were saying. Such research isn’t exactly rocket science. Anyone reading any blog you have, giving advice is better off taking their advice from real consumers and not a wannabe who apparently doesn’t bother to conduct actual research before running at the mouth. Cassie Slane, you are no better than any of the folks who choose to abuse the Ripoff Report website that you were so quick to point fingers at and state inaccurate information about. You likely did a favor for someone who does not like us, totally disregarding whether or not you were telling the truth. You are free to have your own opinion sweetheart...but you are not entitled to your own facts. You should be ashamed and so should Bill O’Reilly along with its producers who refused to do a proper retraction with the same all day publicity they gave this false and misleading segment that served no use to their viewers.
